ZALF

About ZALF

Leibniz-Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF) e.V. focus on delivering solutions for an economically, environmentally and socially sustainable agriculture, together with society. Addressing global challenges like climate change, food security, and biodiversity loss, ZALF designs crop systems integrated within their landscape contexts that combine food security with sustainability. ZALF processes complex landscape data using a unique set of experimental methods, new technologies and models as well as socio-economic approaches.

Role in the project

As a part of the FarmBioNet project, ZALF will develop an innovative, transdisciplinary methodological framework for identifying farmers’ needs and knowledge gaps in implementing biodiversity-friendly farming (BBF) practices. This involves collecting existing BFF practices and incentives to improve biodiversity on the farm.
