About Teagasc
Teagasc – the Agriculture and Food Development Authority – is the national body providing integrated research, advisory and training services to the agriculture and food industry and rural communities. It supports farmers, food producers, and rural communities through practical training, expert advice, and cutting-edge research. Teagasc works on a wide range of topics – from improving crop and animal production to protecting soil, reducing emissions, and supporting food innovation. It helps develop more sustainable and competitive farming and food systems, and plays an active role in shaping agricultural policy and research across Europe.
Role in the project
Teagasc oversees the project coordination and management, leads WP1, and also leads Ireland’s FarmBioNet National Network (WP3 & WP4).
